The Rotation Set UpPosted: April 14, 2011
With the rain out on Tuesday yielding another day off, many were uncertain if the Yankees were going to skip someone in their starting rotation. Will Freddy Garcia get skipped, even though he hasn’t made one start this season? Or will Phil Hughes get skipped due to his bad performance? Well, actually the answer is secret answer number three: no one. Instead of skipping someone, the Yanks have opted to just push everyone back and each starter an extra day of rest. This is good because this early on in the season, you don’t want anyone to get fatigued, but hopefully it doesn’t get anyone out of a rhythm, especially AJ Burnett who has been pitching quite nicely.
