Eric Chavez To The DL With Foot FracturePosted: May 6, 2011
Eric Chavez was one of the only Yankee hitters that was hitting the ball well heading into today. However, while legging out a triple in today’s game, he came up limping and was pulled from the game. As it turned out, he had a small foot fracture and will be out for a decent amount of time which will land him on the disabled list.
The interesting question is now who will replace him. Ramiro Pena is the obvious candidate, but may be injured after fouling a ball of off his foot on Monday. If not him, it could be Kevin Russo, Brandon Laird, or Jorge Vazquez. We will probably see by tomorrow.
