Soriano Out For Rays SeriesPosted: May 16, 2011
Update (10:12pm): Soriano threw a bullpen today and his elbow tightened up. He went to see the trainers after and got some treatment on it. He will go see a team doctor tomorrow, but it looks like he is disabled list bound.
Original (1:30pm): Last night after the game, Rafael Soriano told reporters that he will be unavailable during the upcoming two-game series against the Rays because his elbow is still sore and is still inflamed. This hurts a lot because it is a big series for the Yanks who head into Tampa with a five-game losing streak to play the first place Rays.
Also, it is no secret that the bullpen has been struggling lately with Joba being hit around a little in the Boston series and Boone Logan seemingly resfusing to get lefty hitters out. However, if he comes back 100% and pitches well the rest of the way, I will take it.
