Some Injury UpdatesPosted: May 21, 2011
Here’s an injury update on some Yankees on and off the disabled list:
- Eric Chavez is apparently making progress with the deep bone bruise in his foot. He’s not limping anymore which is good, but is still a while from returning.
- Pedro Feliciano continues to rehab his torn shoulder capsule in hopes of returning this season. He is going through platelet-rich plasma therapy to try to restore strength and has had three treatments so far. He is also lifting weights and doing other exercises and he could start throwing at the beginning of June.
- Before he started hitting the ball again, Alex Rodriguez, was going to have his surgically-repaired hip looked at just to have a check-up. However, he has started to hit again and because there isn’t a lot of time right now, they are going to skip it. But it is still something the Yanks want to have.
