Poll Results: The Rotation Needs To Step UpPosted: June 20, 2011
The results are in and according to the fans, the Yankees starting rotation needs to step up with all of the injuries. I would have to agree with this because not only has Bartolo Colon gotten hurt, but so have Joba Chamberlain and Rafael Soriano, two key cogs to the bullpen which means there is a lot more pressure back there. And so far the starting pitchers have stepped up. In the last nine games, the Yanks haven’t allowed four runs in a game and have yielded a combined 22 over that span which is only a little more than two per game. Coincidentally, the Bombers are 7-2 during this stretch, that’s weird how when we don’t allow the other team to score, we win a lot. Hmmmm.
Anyway, make sure you vote on the new poll: If the Yankees acquire a starter at the trade deadline, who would be replaced in the rotation?
