  • The Yankees have signed their 14th round draft pick Rookie Davis for $550,000

Greg Golson homered

Jordan Parraz went 2 for 4 with a homer

George Kontos tossedd two scoreless innings in relief

Kevin Whelan got the save with a scoreless ninth


Trenton 5 – Akron 1Zoilo Almonte, Melky Mesa, Austin Romine, and Corban Joseph each had a hit, Almonte walked and scored a run, Mesa stole a base and scored a run, Rominedoubled and scored a run, and Joseph drove in a run

Manny Banuelos struck out five in 6.1 innings while allowing one run on five hits and three walks

Brad Halsey tossed 2.2 scoreless innings


Tampa 6 – Fort Myers 1David Adams went 1 for 5 with a run scored

Ronnier Mustelier went 2 for 5 with a double and run scored

Kyle Roller went 0 for 5

Rob Segedin and Cody Johnson each went 1 for 5, Johnson homered, Segedin scored a run

Mikey O’Brien hurled five frames of one-run ball

Dan Burawa threw three scoreless innings

GCL Yankees 12 – GCL Blue Jays 5Dante Bichette went 2 for 5 with two runs scored and a walk

Jose Rosario went 5 for 6, was a triple short of the cycle, drove in three runs, and scored two

Yeicock Calderon homered

Matt Duran went 0 for 4 in his pro debut

Reynaldo Polanco struck out nine in five innings while allowing two runs on five hits and three walks
