Recapping The Weekend

First of all, I apologize for missing this past weekend. I was still tweeting though although a lot of it was retweets. Anyway, let’s recap what I missed:

  • The Yankees took three out of four from the Orioles in the last three days, including a day-night double header on Saturday. They now sit two games out of the American League East behind the Red Sox.
  • Rafael Soriano was activated from the disabled list and pitched a perfect ninth inning in Saturday’s night game.
  • Manny Banuelos was promoted from Double-A Trenton to Triple-A Scranton.
  • Brian Cashman didn’t make any trade deadline moves as Ubaldo Jimenez went to Cleveland, Hiroki Kuroda wouldn’t wave his no trade clause, and Wandy Rodriguez was too much money.
