A-Rod Resumes Baseball ActivityPosted: August 4, 2011
Via Sean Kernan of the NY Post, Alex Rodriguez resumed baseball activity today at the Yankees complex down in Tampa. Here are all the details:
The slugger did some light running before moving onto baseball activities. A-Rod made 25 throws extended to 125 feet, fielded 27 ground balls on his knees, fielded 14 regular ground balls at third base and threw to first. He then went into the cage and hit 32 balls of a tee one-handed and took 34 swings against soft-toss pitches.
He said after that he felt encouraged and I expect that he will be rehabbing with a minor league club at some point late next week.
